International Piano Competition

It is a source of great satisfaction to note that, in spite of the proliferationof piano competitions in our country, the international competition of Sulmona is distinguished from the others by, above all, the quality of the contestants.
It is also correct to underline the fact that many young Italians have been among the best candidates. It is legitimate, therefore, to trust in a continuous "crescendo" for the years to come; particularly so considering the competence and sensibility of the leaders of this noble initiative.
In addition it pleases me to recall the enchantment which each of us has felt thanks to the friendly welcome provided by the city and particularly by the Association, within an informal and yet extremelycordial atmosphere, for this true musical celebration.

Rodolfo Caporali
